Born from Passion

In 1949, Adi Dassler registered the three stripes as adidas' trademark and started producing shoes in Herzogenaurach, Germany.

What began in a small town in Bavaria has grown into one of the world's most recognizable brands. Adi Dassler's vision was simple: create the best shoe for each sport. His workshop, a converted washroom, became the birthplace of a global sporting goods empire.

Today, adidas is the largest sportswear manufacturer in Europe and the second largest in the world. Our mission remains the same: through sport, we have the power to change lives.
